You’re invited to join me for a series of outdoor painting classes in the parks around Essex County. Being completely immersed in your subject matter adds another dimension to the painting experience. Students of all skill levels are welcome. In addition to demonstrations, individual guidance and instruction will be provided to suit your skill level. For 10 years I’ve enjoyed teaching art and design to students of all ages and abilities. |

When are the classes? Wednesdays, April 8th through June 10th, from 11:30AM to 2:30PM. In the event of poor weather (rain or temperature below 50 degrees) I will call you by 9 am with information on rescheduling of the class. Where do we meet? See the list of locations below. Directions will be listed on this website one week in advance of each session and provided via email the day before each session. Car pooling from Montclair may be possible depending on the participation of attendees. · April 8 - Branchbrook Park, Newark (Cherry Blossoms) · April 15 - Edgemont Park, Montclair (Cherry Blossoms and Tulips) · April 22 - Verona Park, Verona · April 29 - Eagle Rock Reservation, West Orange · May 6 - Van Vleck House and Gardens, Montclair · May 13 - South Mountain Reservation, West Orange · May 20 - Mills Reservation, Cedar Grove · May 27 - Presby Iris Garden, Upper Montclair (Irises) · June 3 - Brookdale Park, Montclair (Rose Garden) · June 10th - To Be Determine in discussion with participants How much does it cost? The cost will be $25 per session or your choice of 5 sessions for $100 payable at the first attended session. Payments may be made by cash or check payable to “PJ Carlino” What do I need? Plan to bring a bag lunch and dress comfortably in layers as the weather is somewhat unpredictable this time of year.
