About me

I create visual images to capture and share my deep

passion and curiosity about local history and how it has

impacted our current lives. I also enjoy teaching others

drawing and painting as a method of enriching the visual

experience in their daily day life.

My work is steeped in a sense of place and time. All places,

like people, have a history, a running narrative. I’m

fascinated by how events in the past like the building of a

railroad or highway, the development or abandoning of

farmland through the passage of time have an influence on

the present. I strive in my work to tell a story bout the people

that worked and lived in a place, the past cultures and

practices and the personality of the people portrayed. I

hope to continue in this quest for capturing in my images

the sense of place and history.
